Telangana assembly adopts resolution for caste survey
The caste survey was among the guarantees promised by the ruling Congress in the run-up to the assembly elections last year.
The resolution was moved by state backward classes minister Ponnam Prabhar and adopted after a debate in the assembly.
“This House resolves to take up a comprehensive door-to-door household survey (Socio, Economic, Educational, Employment, Political and Caste Survey) of the entire Telangana state.. so as to plan and implement various socio, economic, educational, employment and political opportunities for the amelioration of Backward Classes, SC & ST citizens of the State and other weaker sections of the state,” it said.
Speaking in the House, Prabhakar said the survey would gather caste data for targeted welfare and equitable resource distribution. “This is an unforgettable day for the weaker sections. We shall move ahead with useful information regarding the welfare of all. The caste census is under the purview of the central government but we are conducting the caste enumeration in view of the conditions in the states. Through this survey, it is expected that justice will be done to SCs, STs, BCs (backward classes) and other weaker sections in the state,” he said.
He reminded the assembly that the Telangana cabinet had, on February 4, approved the decision to conduct a comprehensive household caste enumeration family survey.
Intervening in the debate, chief minister A Revanth Reddy urged all members to make suggestions on the exercise.
Deputy chief minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the caste enumeration is a “foundational step” for the development of the OBCs.
While senior Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) lawmaker Kadiyam Srihari welcomed the resolution, he said the exercise should be “referred to as an OBC census instead of a caste census”.
Another BRS legislator and former minister Gangula Kamalakar demanded that the government enact a legislation, rather than simply passing a resolution. “The chief minister should disclose when this exercise would be completed and when the OBCs would get proportional representation in the legislature,” he said.
The Bihar caste survey – the first in independent India to successfully enumerate all castes – last year found that OBCs comprise 63.13% of the state, SCs formed 19.65% and STs 1.68%. “Upper” castes were found to be 15.52% of the population.
Subsequently, the Bihar government hiked reservations to 75% in government jobs and education. Challenges to the survey are pending before the Supreme Court.
On January 19, the Andhra Pradesh government kickstarted an exercise aimed at creating a comprehensive database of people based on their castes.

NCSC Report on Sandeshkhali Reveals 'Horrifying Acts of Torture, Rape'- TOP POINTS
A delegation of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) had visited Sandeshkhali on Thursday under the leadership of Arun Halder.

In its report, the Scheduled Castes Commission said that there has been consistent attempt by the Trinamool government of West Bengal to “supress the information”. The Commission in its report highligted that 80% population of the Sandeshkhali region belongs to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, demanding immediate intervention from he President of India.

The Commission alleged that during the visit, the team received no assistance from he state government, adding that the security was also compromised. “The Commission has informed the DGP, Chief Secretary, and the Home Secretary of West Bengal, but unfortunately, we have received no support the administration,” said the Scheduled Castes Commission in its report to the President.

What is happening in Sandeshkhali?
Sandeshkhali has been on the boil for the last 15 days as the local women are on streets demanding arrest of Trinamool Congress leader Shahjahan Sheikh and his aides. The accusations against Shajahan and his aides include forcefully capturing land and sexually harassing women. Sheikh has been absconding since January 5 when a mob attacked Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers during a raid at his residence in connection with an alleged ration scam.
Senior leaders of the BJP and the Congress were stopped by police on Friday from visiting the trouble-torn Sandeshkhali, escalating the political tensions in the state as the leaders accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of fostering a "lawless situation" and attempting to "communalise" the issue.

Chief Minister Champai Soren has retained the Home (including Prison) Department, Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Official Language, Cabinet Secretariat and Monitoring Department and all such departments which are not allocated to other ministers. Alamgir Alam has been allocated the Rural Development Department, Rural Affairs Department, Panchayati Raj Department.
Satyanand Bhokta, the lone representative from RJD quota has been allocated with Labour Employment Training and Skill Development Department and Industry Department.
Dr Rameshwar Oraon, minister from Congress quota has been assigned with the finance department, Planning and Development Department, Department of Commerce, Department of Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs.
Baby Devi, the only women minister in Champai Cabinet, was also allocated with the Women Child Development and Social Security Department. Hafeezul Hasan has been allocated with Minority Welfare Department, Registration Department, Tourism, Art-Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Department
Mithilesh Thakur has been given Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, Excise and Prohibition Department. Badal has been assigned ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Co-operation.

Meanwhile, the dropping of Baidyanath Ram from list at last minutes has given an opportunity to attack BJP on Champai government as being anti-Dalit. The Scheduled Caste community of Jharkhand with a population of 50 lakh had to face another fraud by the thugbandhan government.
BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha State President Kishun Kumar Das said that the anti-Dalit face of JMM, Congress and RJD has once again come to the fore. JMM once again does not consider Dalits worthy of participation. Once again, the public will give a befitting reply to this incompetent and fraudulent government in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
Latehar legislator Baidyanath Ram, who was also supposed to take oath on Friday, did not make it to the Cabinet at the last minute due to protests from the Congress MLAs.
Ram was number 2 in the list of candidates, sent to Raj Bhawan. However he was struck off the list at the last minute. Expressing anger on the turn of events, Ram said that the JMM decision had not sent a good message,-particularly to the Scheduled Caste community.
“I have taken this humiliation seriously and will react to it. Ek do din mein result ayega (the result will come in a day or two),” said Ram.
JMM chief Shibu Soren’s elder daughter in law Sita Soren was also supposed to take-oath as minister but, surprisingly her name was missing from the list.
Congress, however, frustrated the JMM’s plan to induct a member of Scheduled Caste community in the cabinet and finally prevailed over the JMM leadership to leave the 12th berth vacant.
The Congress MLAs were eyeing the 12th berth and wanted to replace some ministers from the party quota.

திமுக அணியில் உள்ள விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சி, வரவுள்ள நாடாளுமன்ற தேர்தலில் நான்கு தொகுதிகளை கோரியிருப்பதுடன் அதில் ஒன்று பொதுத் தொகுதியாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என கோரியுள்ளது.
கடந்த சட்டமன்ற தேர்தலில் 4 தொகுதிகளை வென்ற அந்த கட்சி இரண்டு பொதுத் தொகுதிகளை கைப்பற்றியது. அப்போது கட்சியின் தலைவர் திருமாவளவன், “எங்களை தலித் கட்சியாக தனிமைப்படுத்தி சுருக்க நினைத்தவர்கள் தோற்கடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர்” என்று தெரிவித்திருந்தார்.
தலித் கட்சி என்று தங்களை சுருக்கிவிடக் கூடாது என்று விசிக நினைக்கிறது. தலித் கட்சி என்ற அடையாளத்திலிருந்து வெளிவர வேண்டும் என்ற முடிவு தங்களை விரிவுப்படுத்தி, பலதரப்பட்ட மக்களை தங்களுடன் அணிதிரட்டவா அல்லது தன்னிடம் உள்ள தலித் அல்லாத முகங்கள் சிலவற்றை தக்க வைத்துக் கொள்ளவா?

விடுதலைச் சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சியின் அரசியல் வரலாறு
தலித் பேந்தர்ஸ் இயக்கம் என்ற பெயரில் தலித்துகளின் உரிமைகளுக்காக குரல் கொடுக்கும் அமைப்பாக 1982ம் ஆண்டு தொடங்கப்பட்ட இயக்கமே, பின்னர் விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சியாக (விசிக) உருவெடுத்தது. 1999ம் ஆண்டு நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தலில் போட்டியிட்டு தேர்தல் அரசியலுக்கு அறிமுகமானது விசிக. கடந்த 25 ஆண்டுகளாக இயங்கி வரும் விசிக, தமிழ்நாட்டு அரசியலில் கவனிக்கத்தக்க இடத்தை பெற்றுள்ளது.
இந்தியா கூட்டணியின் அங்கமாக உள்ள விசிக தேசிய அளவில் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க தலித் இயக்கமாகவும் அடையாளப்பட்டுள்ளது. தொல் திருமாவளவன் கவனிக்கப்படும் முக்கியமான தலைவராக இயங்குகிறார். இது வரை தனித்து போட்டியிடாத விசிக, கூட்டணி கட்சிகளுடன் தேர்தலை சந்தித்த போது, சுமார் 1.5% வாக்குகளை பெற்றுள்ளது.
கடந்த சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலில் பொதுத் தொகுதிகளான நாகப்பட்டினத்தில் ஆளூர் ஷாநவாஸ் மற்றும் திருப்போரூர் தொகுதியில் எஸ்.எஸ்.பாலாஜி ஆகியோர் விசிக சார்பில் வெற்றி பெற்றனர். விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சியில் உள்ள 144 மாவட்டச் செயலாளர்களில் 17 பேர் தலித் அல்லாதவர்கள் ஆவர். இதில் சிறுபான்மை சமூகத்தை சேர்ந்தவர்களும் உள்ளனர்.
திமுக கூட்டணியில், கடந்த நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தலில், தனித் தொகுதிகளான சிதம்பரத்தில் திருமாவளவன் பானை சின்னத்திலும் விழுப்புரம் தொகுதியில் ரவிக்குமார் திமுக சின்னமான உதய சூரியனிலும் போட்டியிட்டு வெற்றி பெற்றனர்.
தலித் கட்சியா விடுதலைச் சிறுத்தைகள்?
விசிக பொதுச் செயலாளரும், நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினருமான ரவிக்குமார், தங்களுக்கு பொதுத் தொகுதிகளில் வெற்றிவாய்ப்பு பிரகாசமாக இருப்பதாக தெரிவித்தார். “கடந்த சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலில், நான்கு தனித் தொகுதிகளிலும் இரண்டு பொதுத் தொகுதிகளிலும் போட்டியிட்டோம். இதில் தனி தொகுதிகளில் இரண்டு இடங்களில் வெற்றி பெற்றோம். அதாவது 50% வெற்றி. போட்டியிட்ட இரண்டு பொதுத் தொகுதிகளிலுமே விசிக வெற்றி பெற்றது. அதாவது 100% ஸ்டிரைக் ரேட்” என குறிப்பிட்டார்.
“பட்டியலின மக்களுக்கு மட்டுமான கட்சி என்ற அடையாளத்தை விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சி விரும்பவில்லை. அவர்களுக்கு எல்லா பொது பிரச்னைகளிலும் அக்கறை இருக்கிறது. அவர்கள் முதலில் பட்டியலின மக்களுக்கான கட்சியாகவே தொடங்கினர். பின்பு, தாங்கள் விரிவடைய வேண்டும் என்று உணர்ந்துள்ளனர்” என தலித் விவகாரங்கள் குறித்த ஆய்வாளரும் மெட்ராஸ் இன்ஸ்டிடியூட் ஆப் டெவலப்மண்ட் ஸ்டடீஸ் மையத்தின் முன்னாள் பேராசிரியர் லக்ஷ்மணன் குறிப்பிடுகிறார்.
1980களில் பட்டியலின மக்களின் குரலாக கன்ஷிராம் உருவாக்கிய பகுஜன் சமாஜ் கட்சி, மற்றும் 2000ம் ஆண்டில் ராம் விலாஸ் பாஸ்வான் உருவாக்கிய லோக்ஜனசக்தி கட்சி ஆகியவை இதற்கு முன்னுதாரணங்கள் ஆகும் என்று லக்ஷ்மணன் சுட்டிக்காட்டுகிறார்.

விசிகவை ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட சமூகத்துக்கான கட்சி என முத்திரையிடக் கூடாது என்கிறார் ரவிக்குமார். “இது எல்லோருக்குமான கட்சியாகும். ஒரு சாதியை சார்ந்து ஒரு மதத்தை சார்ந்து எந்தவொரு கட்சியும் இயங்க முடியாது. அனைவரையும் பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்த வேண்டும். நல்லிணக்கத்தை ஊக்குவிக்க வேண்டும் என்பதே எங்கள் எண்ணம். அம்பேத்கர் எல்லோருக்குமான சட்டத்தை தான் இயற்றினார்” என்கிறார்.
கன்ஷிராம் வழியில் திருமாவளவன் பரிசோதனை செய்கிறார் என்கிறார் ஓய்வுபெற்ற நீதியரசர் கே சந்துரு.
“1999 தேர்தலில் கன்ஷிராம் உருவாக்கிய பகுஜன் சமாஜ் கட்சி 14 நாடாளுமன்ற தொகுதிகளில் வெற்றிபெற்றது. அதே போன்றதொரு பரிசோதனையை திருமாவளவனும் மேற்கொள்கிறார். அவர்களுடைய கட்சியில் எந்த சமூகத்தை சேர்ந்தவரும் உறுப்பினராவதற்கு தடை இல்லாதபோதும் அதை தலித் கட்சி என்றே பார்க்கிறார்கள். எனவே அவர் அந்த பிம்பத்தை உடைக்க நினைக்கிறார். ஆர்.கே.நகர் தொகுதியில் ஜெயலலிதாவிற்கு எதிராக முனைவர் வசந்தி தேவியை போட்டியிட வைத்தார்.”
எல்லோரது வாக்கும் தேவை
தலித் கட்சி என்ற பிம்பத்தை உடைப்பது விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகளுக்கு அவசியமாக இருக்கிறது என்கிறார் திமுக செய்தித் தொடர்பாளரும் முன்னாள் நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினருமான டி.கே.எஸ்.இளங்கோவன்.
“தாங்கள் தலித் கட்சி என்ற பிம்பத்தை உடைக்கவே பொதுத் தொகுதியிலும் போட்டியிட விரும்புகிறார்கள். பிற்படுத்தப்பட்ட மக்களும் தலித் மக்களுக்காக இருக்கிறார்கள் என்பதை அது வெளிப்படுத்தும்” என்று குறிப்பிட்ட அவர், எந்தவொரு தொகுதியாக இருந்தாலும் நிறுத்தப்படும் வேட்பாளர் அந்த தொகுதியில் மக்களிடம் எவ்வளவு நெருக்கமாக இருக்கிறார் என்பது முக்கியம். தொகுதிக்கு சம்பந்தம் இல்லாத நபரை நிறுத்த முடியாது” என குறிப்பிட்டார்.
தனித் தொகுதியில் போட்டியிட்டாலும், அந்த தொகுதியில் உள்ள மற்ற சமூகத்தினரின் வாக்குகள் இல்லாமல், ஒரு வேட்பாளர் வெற்றி பெற முடியாது என சுட்டிக்காடுகிறார் ரவிக்குமார்.
“எந்த தொகுதியாக இருந்தாலும் அனைத்து சமூகத்தினரின் ஆதரவும் தேவை. அது தான் பலமும் கூட. பொதுத் தொகுதிகளில் பட்டியலினத்தவர் போட்டியிடுவது புதிதும் கிடையாது. திமுக அதிமுக இரு கட்சிகளுமே தலித் வேட்பாளர்களை தங்கள் சின்னத்தில் பொதுத் தொகுதிகளில் நிறுத்தி அவர்கள் வெற்றியும் பெற்றுள்ளனர். எந்த கட்சியும் பணக்காரர்களுக்காகவோ, உயர்சாதியினருக்காகவோ இருப்பதாக தங்களை கூறிக் கொள்வதில்லை அல்லவா? எனவே, கூடுதல் இடம் கொடுக்க வேண்டிய கடமை எல்லா கட்சிகளுக்குமே இருக்கிறது” என்று விளக்கினார்

பொதுத் தொகுதிகள் ஏன் முக்கியம்?
ஓய்வுபெற்ற நீதிபதி சந்துரு குறிப்பிடுகையில், “தலித் மக்கள் மட்டுமே வாக்களித்து தங்களுடைய தலைவரை தேர்ந்தெடுக்கும் நிலைமை இருந்தால்தான் உண்மையான தலைவர்கள் எழுவார்கள் என்ற அம்பேத்கரின் வாதத்தை காந்தி ஏற்கவில்லை. ஆனால் காந்தி அப்படியொரு பரிசோதனைக்கு தயாராக இல்லை. இப்போதுள்ள முறையில் எல்லோருடைய வாக்குகளும் கிடைப்பது ஒரு கட்சிக்கு முக்கியம். எனவே தங்கள் கட்சியின் மேல் தலித் என்ற முத்திரை குத்தப்படுவதை நீக்க திருமாவளவன் முயற்சி எடுக்கிறார்” என்கிறார்.
தலித் வளர்ச்சிக்கு திராவிட கட்சிகள் தடையாக அமைந்திருப்பதாக குறிப்பிடுகிறார் பேராசிரியர் லட்சுமணன்,” திராவிட கட்சிகள் பிராமண எதிர்ப்பு கட்சிகளாக இருந்தன. அவை தலித் விரோத போக்கை 1920கள் முதல் இன்று வரை கடைப்பிடித்து வருகின்றன. அதனால் தான் வன்கொடுமைகள் இன்றும் நடைபெறுகின்றன. அவர்கள் பல நேரங்களில் மௌனமாக இருந்துள்ளனர். பொது நீரோட்டத்தில் இருக்கும் கட்சிகள் தலித் பிரச்னைகள் குறித்து, போதிய அளவு பேசவில்லை என்றதால் தான் விசிக, அவர்களுக்காக குரல் கொடுத்தது. திராவிட கட்சிகளில் ஒரு பட்டியலினத்தவரை கட்சிக்குள் சுதந்திரமாக செயல்பட விடுவதில்லை. அவரை முழுமையான தலைவராக ஏற்றுக் கொள்வதும் இல்லை. நாங்கள் தான் தலித் மக்களுக்கு பேண்டு, சட்டை போட கற்றுக் கொடுத்தோம் என்று பொதுமேடைகளில் மூத்த தலைவர்கள் பேசியுள்ளனர்” என தெரிவித்தார்.
பட்டியல் சாதியினரின் ஜனநாயக போராட்டத்தில் பொதுத் தொகுதிகளை நோக்கி விரிவாவது முக்கியமான படி என்கிறார் ரவிக்குமார்.
“பொதுத் தொகுதியில் விசிக நிற்க வேண்டும் என்று கூறுவதால், தலித் மக்களின் குரலாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதிலிருந்து எங்களின் கவனம் மாறி விட்டது என்று அர்த்தம் கிடையாது. ஜனநாயக சக்திகளின் உதவியுடன் தான் இயங்க முடியும். தனி தொகுதிகள் என்பது குறைந்தபட்ச பிரதிநிதித்துவத்துக்கான உறுதியாகும். ஆனால் அதுவே அதிகபட்சம் கிடையாது.” என்று தெரிவித்தார்.
“விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சி பொதுத் தொகுதிகளில் போட்டியிட விரும்புவது ஜனநாயக உரிமை தானே. பட்டியலின மக்கள் தனி தொகுதிகளில் மட்டுமே போட்டியிட வேண்டும் என்று நினைப்பது ஒரு சாதிய போக்கு ஆகும். பட்டியிலின வேட்பாளர்கள் பொதுத் தொகுதிகளில் போட்டியிடுவது முற்போக்கானதாகும்” என்று பேராசிரியர் லட்சுமணன் தெரிவித்தார்.

திமுக, அதிமுக கட்சிகளே பொதுத் தொகுதிகளில் அதிகம் போட்டியிடுகின்றன. தலித் வேட்பாளர்களை அவ்வப்போது நிறுத்தியுள்ளனர். இதுபற்றி கேட்டபோது “பொதுத் தொகுதியில் தலித் வேட்பாளர்கள் நிறுத்த திமுகவுக்கு எந்த தயக்கமும் தடையும் இல்லை” என்று குறிப்பிட்ட டி.கே.எஸ்.இளங்கோவன் “கோவையில் சி டி தண்டபாணி என்ற திமுக மாவட்டச் செயலாளர் பொதுத் தொகுதியில் போட்டியிட்டு சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர் ஆனார். இது ஆரோக்யமான விசயமே” என்று விளக்கினார். அதே சமயம் திமுக சின்னத்தை பயன்படுத்துவது வெற்றி வாய்ப்பினை அதிகரிக்கும் என்கிறார் அவர். “கடந்த முறை திருமாவளவன் 2500 வாக்குகள் வித்தியாசத்திலேயே வெற்றி பெற்றார். ரவிக்குமார் நல்ல வாக்கு வித்தியாசம் பெற்றிருந்தார். எனவே அனைத்தையும் கணக்கில் எடுத்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும்” என தெரிவித்தார்.
சொந்த சின்னத்தில் போட்டியிட்டால்தான் விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சி தேர்தல் ஆணையத்தின் அங்கீகாரத்தை பெற முடியும் என சுட்டிக்காட்டுகிறார் ரவிக்குமார், “விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சி இன்னும் தேர்தல் ஆணையத்தால் அங்கீகரிக்கப்படவில்லை. நான்கு சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களும், இரண்டு நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களும் இருந்தால் அங்கீகாரம் கிடைக்கும். கடந்த சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலில் திமுக சின்னத்தில் போட்டியிட்டதால் அந்த வாய்ப்பு கிடைக்கவில்லை. இல்லையென்றால் கடந்த முறையே கிடைத்திருக்கும். தேர்தல் அரசியலில் நுழைந்து 25 ஆண்டுகள் ஆன கட்சி. கண்டிப்பாக அங்கீகாரம் கிடைக்க வேண்டும்” என அவர் குறிப்பிட்டார்.
வெற்றிக்கான பார்முலா எது?
பலம் என்னவாக இருந்தாலும், வெற்றியை நோக்கியே வியூகம் அமைய வேண்டும் என்கிறார் டி.கே.எஸ்.இளங்கோவன், “திமுகவை பொறுத்தவரை எத்தனை இடங்கள் ஒதுக்கப்படுகின்றன என்பது இரண்டாம்பட்சம். வெற்றி பெற வேண்டும் என்பதே இலக்கு. 2019-ம் ஆண்டு நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தல் ஃபார்முலா வெற்றியை பெற்று தந்தது. எனவே, இந்த முறையும் அதையே கடைப்பிடிக்க வாய்ப்புள்ளது. இந்த முறை கூட்டணியில் புதிதாக எந்த கட்சியும் இல்லை. கடந்த நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தலின் போது கூட்டணியில் இருந்தவர்களே இப்போதும் கூட்டணியில் இருக்கிறார்கள். 2019 ஃபார்முலா வெற்றிக்கான ஃபார்முலாவாக இருந்தது. எனவே அது போன்று அமையவே வாய்ப்புள்ளது. விசிகவுக்கு கடந்த முறையை விட அதிக இடங்கள் ஒதுக்கினால், பிற கூட்டணி கட்சிகளும் அதிக இடங்கள் கேட்பார்கள்.” என்று தெரிவித்தார்.
கூட்டணி முக்கியம்தான், ஆனால் எண்ணிக்கையும் அவசியம் என்கிறார் வி.சி.க பொதுச் செயலாளர் ரவிக்குமார், “நாங்கள் நான்கு தொகுதிகள் கேட்டுள்ளோம். அது நியாயமான கோரிக்கை என்று தான் நினைக்கிறோம். எனினும் திமுக தான் முடிவு செய்ய வேண்டும். திமுகவுக்கு கூட்டணி நெருக்கடி இருக்கும் என்று புரிந்து கொள்ள முடிகிறது. எனினும் நான்கு தொகுதிகள் கேட்பதற்கான தகுதியும் நியாயமும் இருக்கிறது. சமீபத்தில் நடைபெற்ற “வெல்லும் ஜனநாயகம்” மாநாடு நல்ல வரவேற்பை பெற்றது. எட்டு லட்சம் முதல் 10 லட்சம் பேர் வரை மாநாட்டில் கலந்து கொண்டிருப்பார்கள் என்று மதிப்பீடு செய்கிறோம். வந்தவர்கள் அனைவரும் இறுதி வரை கலையாமல் இருந்தது கவனிக்கத்தக்கது.
கடந்த ஐந்து ஆண்டுகளில் விசிகவின் வளர்ச்சியையும் மறுக்க முடியாது. விசிகவுக்கு வலுவான வாக்கு வங்கி இருக்கிறது. எனவே நான்கு தொகுதிகள் கேட்பதில் தார்மீக நியாயம் இருக்கிறது” என்றார்.

An Indian food delivery app said it has withdrawn an advertisement on recycling garbage following a backlash over its "dehumanising" portrayal of a Dalit character.
Zomato released an advert for World Environment Day aimed at promoting the company’s efforts at waste recycling to tackle the climate crisis.
Dalits, formally known as “untouchables”, belong to the lowest rung of India’s archaic Hindu caste system.
The advert has drawn a strong backlash online, prompting the food delivery agency to take down the video.
"Kachra from Lagaan was one of the most dehumanised voiceless depictions of Dalits ever in cinema," tweeted filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan.
"Zomato has used the same character and made a repulsive casteist commercial. A human stool? Are you serious? Extremely insensitive!"
"Usually, I'm a big fan of Zomato's marketing, mostly done in-house. But their new ad film, made for World Environment Day, made for an uncomfortable watch, at least for me - your mileage may vary," wrote social media user Karthik on Twitter.
Following the outrage, Zomato on Thursday took down the video for "unintentionally" hurting "the sentiments of certain communities and individuals".
The Dalit community consists of 200 million people in India today. Even though the concept of “untouchability” was outlawed in 1955 and successive governments have introduced measures of affirmative action in jobs and education, the people of the community remain targets of discrimination and abuse throughout the country.
Crimes against Dalits increased by 1.2 per cent in 2021, marking a rise from 50,291 reported cases in 2020 to 50,900 cases in 2021, according to data from the National Crime Records Bureau.
