SC/ST Members of Parliament (MPs) and Members of Legislative Assemblies (MLAs) are elected representatives who have special responsibility to protect the rights and interests of Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). Their duties include general public service plus focused action for marginalized communities.
