1. Custodial death case registered under SC/ST Act – Sivaganga

  • A young man’s custodial death case in Manamadurai (Sivaganga district) has been changed to murder and also registered under the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act after protests by Dalit groups.
  • The Madras High Court monitored the case and ordered peaceful protest arrangements.

2. NGO demands 8 atrocity-prone districts

7. Budget allocation for SC/ST welfare
